European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud service platform of the online retailer Amazon, has announced that it will create 600 jobs in Germany.
According to Amazon, many companies have invested in digital infrastructure during the pandemic, which has increased demand. The jobs are to be created in all areas - in central functions and sales as well as in development and data centre operations. The new positions are to be created over the course of the year.
AWS was founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of online retailer Amazon. AWS has 84 Availability Zones in 26 geographic regions around the world.
