European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Electronics manufacturer Philips announced that it will cut 106 jobs at its IT-department in the Netherlands, mostly in Eindhoven. The company is delocating the activities in its offices in Poland, Panama and India. The aim of the reorganisation is to 'improve efficiency', as a company spokesperson said. Philips aims at completing the reorganisation by the end of 2022. Trade Union FNV expressed its concern over the significant loss of jobs.
In the Netherlands, Philips has approximately 11,000 employees, spread over branches in Eindhoven, Best, Drachten and the head office in Amsterdam.
