Description

Sports goods manufacturer and retailer Adidas has announced the closure of its Strasbourg headquarters, in order to merge all its administrative services in Paris. Some 140 people could lose their jobs. The reorganisation should be completed by September 2024. After two years of pandemic, the presence of employees in the offices has been reduced. They have gone from 200 when the premises were inaugurated four years ago to 140 today. The management has announced that it wants to introduce a wide range of teleworking options for those employees who remain in the group. They would be able to work 80% of their time from home and only come to the site three to eight days a month, depending on the type of job. The management could launch a redundancy plan. The announcement was denounced by local authorities who had intervened with the Adidas CEO to onvoke the maintenance the headquarters in Alsace.
