European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
BNP Paribas, the banking group, has announced the recruitment of 7,000 new employees by 2022 as part of its new strategic plan, "Growth, Technology, Sustainability 2025". This plan aims at fostering the group's development by putting at the centre of the new strategy the role of technology and the transition towards a more ecological approach to deliver services. Out of these 7,000 new recruits, 3,000 will be hired on permanent contracts and 2,000 on work-study contracts (of more than 9 months). The other recruitments concern trainees (1,500) and young people on voluntary internships and 300 on VIE (international voluntary service). The new positions will cover a wide range of roles, including commercial professions serving individual and corporate customers, IT (data, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.) as well as support and control functions (audit, compliance, risk, etc.).
