The wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa has announced the start-up of its wind turbine factory at the Le Havre site (Seine-Maritime), which will equip most of the offshore wind farms currently planned in France. The site currently employs 500 people and is expected to reach a workforce of 750 by early 2023. Some 250 new employees are expected to be hired in the coming months. Production has begun and a gradual ramp-up is planned to supply blades and nacelles for the Fécamp (Iberdrola) and Saint-Brieuc (EDF) wind farms in the first year.
