Commercial semi-state energy company ESB is to recruit 1,000 people over the next three years as part of its ‘Driven to Make a Difference: Net Zero by 2040 strategy’. The program is focused on renewable energies and on reducing the carbon intensity of Ireland's electricity generation.
The new roles will be across a range of areas including finance, IT, HR, engineering, customer service and qualified electricians. Three hundred of the new roles will be graduates, apprentices and trainees.
The company currently employs 8,000 people in Ireland across its businesses, including ESB Networks, Electric Ireland, ESB International and Smart Energy Services.
