Description

German pharmaceutical multinational, Merck, is to create 370 jobs in Cork over 5 years. 120 roles will be based at the company’s manufacturing plant in Carrigtwohill, Cork. Merck is investing over €290 million expanding this facility. Approximately 250 of the jobs will be based at a new €150 million manufacturing facility in Blarney. The reason behind the expansion and the job creation is to increase the company's membrane manufacturing capacity: membrane arre used for rapid diagnostic testing. All new roles are expected to be in place by the end of 2027.

Merck is a medicine maker company that currently employs 750 people at its plant in Carrigtwohill.
