Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Specialist in payroll and human resources outsourcing Cegedim Group (5,600 employees) wants to strengthen its Cegedim Santé subsidiary, that offers digital solutions and services for healthcare professionals and patients. Therefore it has announced to recruit 500 employees within three years to ensure the development of Cegedim Santé. Together with other investors, the Cegedim Group has announced that it is investing € 65 million in its subsidiary in order to recruit these employees in various fields: R&D, technology and products, as well as services and sales activities. The aim is to meet healthcare professionals and present Cegedim Santé's solutions to them. Cegedim Santé contributed 12% of the Cegedim Group's revenue in 2021.
