In 2022, Cegeka Romania, a software company, intends to recruit 200 people in Romania and 75 in the Republic of Moldova. In 2021, the company developed applications for banking and insurance, retail, logistics, telecom and the real estate sectors. Cegeka Romania offers complete end-to-end IT solutions for customers in these sectors. Last year the company surpassed the 700-employee threshold and was recognized as one of the best IT employers in Romania.

In 2021 Cegeka also launched the second edition of the Cegeka Academy, a programme aiming to recruit STEM graduates from across the country. The program is exclusively online and connects students with Cegeka mentors and HR professionals. The Academy focuses not only on technologies such .NET and Java, but also offers advice on how to build a career in IT. Nearly half of the students who completed the program were hired which led the company to launch a new edition of the Academy in 2022.

The company has two business divisions in Romania which focus on software development and infrastructure. The company’s headquarters is located in Hasselt, Belgium.
