Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The CaetanoBus, a collective transport company owned by Salvador Caetano, is set to hire 100 workers. The company is looking for professionals in the fields of electricity, metalwork, welding, painting, carpentry and sheet metal. The new positions are created with the aim to reinforce the teams producing zero-emission buses in its plants in Vila Nova de Gaia and Ovar. Workers will have benefits such as reimbursement of health expenses extended to the household, pension fund, life insurance, partial reimbursement of meals in the canteen, continuous training and opportunities for career progression.
