Retail Group Rewe has announced to hire 3,000 new employees at its stores all over Austria. The Rewe Group is the biggest owner of retail stores in Austria and runs various supermarket chains such as Billa, Penny, Adeg and Bipa. As for 2021, the turnover in Austria has risen by 1,54 percent to a total of € 9,21 billions. The largest part of the business expansion is in the field of tourism, which has grown substantially after the losses caused by COVID-19. Rewe Austria has 45,338 in various stores, storages and distribution centers all over the country.
