Sezamo, a Czech online supermarket, will launch this spring in Romania. The company has announced the creation of around 1,000 jobs in the first year. It will start operations with 200 employees and will increase the team with another 800 after the launching.

More than half of the jobs currently listed are for positions such as driver-cum-couriers and pickers (order handlers). The other half are available in departments such as Finance, Customer Care, People and Culture, Marketing, Quality, Logistics, IT, Fulfilment Centre, Business Intelligence and in the Agile department which is responsible for studying customer behaviour and needs.

The company is part of the Czech Rohlik group, active in the Czech Republic (Rohlik.cz), Hungary (Kifli.hu), Austria (Gurkerl.at) and Germany (Knuspr.de). In 2022, Rohlik is launching in Romania, Italy and Spain under the sezamo brand. The company has achieved unicorn status in 2021. The group's turnover exceeded €300 million in 2020.
