Description
The SNCF Charentes-Périgord Technicentre has won an order to renovate 62 high-capacity railcars (AGC), worth €12 million, and the operations will require the hiring of 130 employees in Périgueux over the next three years. The site currently employs 600 people. This project will provide 500,000 hours of work for the employees. 'This signature ensuring a workload until 2029 is the concretization of the struggle led by the railway workers of the Industrial Technicentre to ensure the sustainability of the site', explains the CGT union.
Previous job destructions were recorded in the ERM database in 2021 (SNCF-2021-FR) and in 2020 (SNCF-2020-FR).
