The Austria-headquartered furniture retailer XXXLutz will be opening a new store in Heidelberg, in Germany, which will create 250 new jobs. The new store has a total sales area of 28,000 sqm and an investment volume of more than €40 million. Additionally, the new store has set a new standard in terms of sustainability, a photovoltaic system produces electricity, the store has a green roof and customers will be able to transport their purchases via electrified cargo bikes. XXXLutz will open its store on 10 February 2022.
XXXLutz has currently 11,000 employees in Germany.
