Description
The hotel chain Scandic is opening a new hotel- Scandic Göteborg Central- in central Gothenburg by June 2022. The chain has announced the recruitment of 170 new people in all the departments within the hotel: 120 will be permanent positions and 50 will be summer jobs. The recruitment process will start in mid-January. The hotel will be one of the largest in Gothenburg.
During 2021, Scandic has shown a good recovery despite the tourism and hospitality industry being one of the sectors most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The employers’ organisation Visita has estimated that the industry will recover to pre-pandemic levels in late 2023/early 2024.
Scandic is the largest hotel chain in the Nordic countries and counts over 280 hotels in 130 locations and over 10,000 employees.
