Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Glassbee, a Lithuanian-capital manufacturer of PVC and aluminium profile windows, is to create over 100 new jobs in Alytus in the next few years. The company plans to establish a new business centre Avilys in Alytus Industrial Park together with the support of the real estate project developer LINI group. Avilys will not only be a production complex for PVC and aluminium profile windows, doors, and modular houses but will also include relaxation areas for employees, as well as for the reception of customers and suppliers. The company plans to invest at least €10 million in the new centre.
Glassbee began its operations in Alytus in March 2020. Currently, it employs 22 people.
