Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The nautical manufacturer Fountaine Pajot is to create 150 new jobs to increase its production levels. The company is based in La Rochelle and has a branch in Aigrefeuille-d'Aunis, where catamarans and motor yachts are produced, and in Périgny, where monohulls are produced. The company closed its 2020-2021 financial year at the end of August with a 17% growth in turnover, compared to the previous year.
The group has already recruited 80 employees during 2021 but still needs to increase its workforce. Two previous recruitment announcements have been recorded on the ERM database. In 2019, Fountaine Pajot has recruited 150 employees. In 2018, it has recruited 150 new employees too.
