Description
German electricity company RWE will close down its nuclear power plant in Gundremmingen (Bavaria) and cut 100 jobs within 2022. As the dismantling of the power plant will not be completed before the mid-2030s, 440 people will continue working at the plant. Job cuts will be realised in a socially acceptable manner. In the long run, RWE plans to build a gas power plant at the site of the current nuclear power plant, but the final decision about it has not been taken yet.
