Description

Safran Helicopter Engines, a subsidiary of the Safran aerospace group specialised in the construction of helicopter motors, has announced the recruitment of 300 people at its three sites in Bordes (Béarn), Tarnos (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) and Mantes-Buchelay (Yvelines). Safran Helicopter Engines will recruit 150 employees on long-term contracts and 150 apprentices, after receiving an order for 400 engines to power the twin-engine helicopters ordered from Airbus by the French Army. The company is looking for millers, turners, materials engineers, digital and IT security engineers.

In 2020, due to the crisis in the aeronautical sector, this subsidiary has cut more than 300 jobs through voluntary departures on its three sites. According to some staff representatives, the cut of 350 to 400 jobs through voluntary departures and early retirements placed the group in an understaffing position.

Update [21.04.2022]:In addition to the first wave of 150 recruitments on permanent contract announced in December 2021, Safran is recruiting additional 150 employees by the end of 2022. The number of planned job creation reaches 300.
