Description

German multinational engineering and technology company Bosch has announced the creation of about 550 jobs worldwide by 2023. The company is to invest more than €400 million in its semiconductor factories in Germany and Malaysia and is planning to hire 150 employees in Germany and 400 in Malaysia. The business expansion is to meet the increasing demand for chips, given the global chip shortage. In Reutlingen, Germany, Bosch is expanding a clean room. In Penang, Malaysia, the company is building a test centre for semiconductors from scratch. The plants will be highly automated and are expected to be fully operational by the end of 2023.

Founded in 1886, Bosch is a world leader in providing technology and services. The company operates in four business sectors: mobility (hardware and software), consumer goods (including household appliances and power tools), industrial technology (including drive and control) and energy and building technology. The company has 440 subsidiaries in over 60 countries and employs about 395,000 people worldwide.
