Description

Edwards Lifesciences, a US medical devices company, is to create 250 jobs at its new manufacturing site in Castletroy Limerick over the next four years. The plant was officially opened on October 22nd. The number of people employed in Castletroy will raise to 850. New employees will be enrolled in manufacturing transcatheter therapies to repair or replace damaged heart valves.

The company established in Ireland in 2018 when it opened a premises in the Shannon Free Zone. The Chief Executive of the company said he aimed to create a hub for Europe by expanding their presence in the Limerick area.
