Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US-based rubber products provider Gates Polska, a subsidiary of Gates Corporation, has announced that it will create about 100 new jobs at its production facility in Legnica. The recruitment process has already been launched and the company is looking for production and warehouse staff. Gates Polska is to hire both experienced workers and candidates without experience in the industry.
Gates Corporation, based in Denver, Colorado, is a manufacturer of power transmission belts and fluid power products for the automotive and manufacturing industries. The company operates in over 30 countries and employs over 15,000 people worldwide. In Poland, the company operates in Legnica, with 1,100 employees, and Wrocław.
Previous business expansion was announced in March 2021 (120 jobs created in the city of Wrocław, Poland).
