Description
As announced on 6 September 2021, the US online retail giant Amazon will be opening eight logistics and distribution centres in Germany by mid-2022, creating approximately 3,000 jobs. Locations for new logistic centres include Helmstedt, Dummerstorf and Gattendorf bei Hof. Distribution centres will be opened at Neu-Ulm, Friedrichsdorf, Wieterstadt and Wenden. A new sorting centre will open at Erding.
In the last 12 months, Amazon already created 3,000 new jobs in its logistics sector in Germany.
Amazon has currently 19,000 in its 17 logistics and distribution centres in Germany.
