Description
The French group Indexia (formerly SFAM), specialising in the distribution of insurance products in mobile phones, multimedia and connected devices, plans to open 30 technology shops in Spain in 2021 and create 150 direct jobs.
This announcement comes after the company bought the Switch retail network in 2020, thus entering the retail sector, and after Hubside, the group's website creation and development platform, launched its own network 'Hubside.Store' shops in France in 2020.
The CEO of Indexia stated that, despite the increasing competition in the refurbished mobile sector, there are also larger market opportunities as the 'commitment to responsible consumption and to fight against planned obsolescence' develop.
The company has already launched the first two stores, one in Murcia and one in Barcelona, and will soon open more in Madrid, Zaragoza and Valencia. 70% of the shops will be owned and the rest will be franchised.
