This expansion will take place through new hirings in more than 50 locations throughout Italy, among which two new distribution centres in Novara and Cividate al Piano, a sorting centre in Spilamberto, as well as 11 sorting depots in Piedmont, Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Umbria and Marche.
The company is looking for different roles: from picking, packing and shipping goods, to marketing, finance, and research.
The Country Manager of Spain and Italy commented the restructuring programme as an opportunity to foster growth and economic recover in Italy, highlighting the importance of investing in digitisation.
According to the company’s plan the overall Italian workforce will reach over 12,500 employees, from 9,500 at the end of 2020.
