Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Playtech and its affiliate Playtech Estonia, design, develop and deploy unified software platforms for the online gaming industry. Currently, around 100 new positions are open for developers, technical project managers, IT-engineers and other IT-related employees in the Estonian offices in Tallinn and Tartu. The expansion is possible due to the continuous opening of new markets in the United States of America (USA). In 2006 the company had to leave the USA due to the banning of internet gambling. With the establishment of state-by-state regulations, the USA markets are reopening and the company is in the position to expand its operations.
Today Playtech has over 6,000 employees globally, and around 600 of them are working in Estonia.
