The 37% of the new jobs will be in Madrid, 25% in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, 22% in Valencia and Murcia, and 11% in Andalusia. In addition, the company has announced, as part of its expansion plan, the future opening of 40 new establishments in Galicia, the expansion of the logistics platforms in Dos Hermanas (Seville) and Masquefa (Barcelona), and the construction of a new warehouse in Sagunto (Valencia).

During the first half of the year, Aldi has already hired about 500 staff. The recruitment is expected to be finished by the end of 2021.

Aldi currently has 342 stores in Spain with almost 6000 staff. The company expects to expand its commercial and logistics area by more than 50% in the next two years.

In 2020, Aldi created about 800 jobs across Spain
