European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Spanish toll management company Abertis has announced a collective dismissal plan that will affect 348 employees working in several Catalan motorways (La Jonquera - Salou, Zaragoza-Mediterráneo, and Montgat-Palafolls). The affected employees are those working in the toll area and in central and support services. The company states that the redundancy plan is necessary, due to the termination of the public concession contract for these toll roads.
This collective dismissal plan comes after Abertis dismissed 136 workers in January 2020 and 160 employees in July 2020.
