Description

As announced on 12 July 2021, the French IT service provider Atos will be cutting around 1,300 jobs in 2021 in Germany due to internal restructuring. The job reduction is part of Atos’s transition to a more digital and cloud focused company. This process has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The affected will be employees at data centres and IT experts helping customers on-site.

Negotiations regarding a social plan will start shortly. The company expects that the restructuring will cost approximately €180 million this year. The company has emphasised that the job reduction will be as socially acceptable as possible. As of July 2021, there is no information on the location of job cuts.

Atos has 10,000 employees in Germany.

In September 2014, Atos closed its site in Frankfurt (Hesse) which made 300 employees redundant.
