Description

Danone, the French agri-food multinational, has announced a transformation plan for its operating model that will involve the collective redundancy of 153 workers in Spain (almost 8% of the workforce). The company wants to boost the digitalisation and modernisation of the company with the aim of regaining market share, increasing sales and returning to profitable and sustainable growth. This transformation plan, called 'Local First', will be applied to all the countries in which it operates, affecting a total number of 1,850 workers around the world.

The company also states that the redundancy plan will be implemented in a 'transparent' way through dialogues and consensus with workers' representatives. Therefore, there will be a negotiation period in the coming days.
