Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Iskra, the Slovenian manufacturer of capacitors, switch gears, electrical measuring instruments, power automation and protection, professional batteries, antennas and telecommunications, plans to employ 300 staff until the end of 2021. The company is encountering a steep rise in demand for its products. It has already employed 78 persons this year and will need 300 more employees mostly in manufacturing. Due to the lack of toolmakers, electricians and mechatronics, the company is searching for a workforce in Bosnia and Hercegovina and Serbia.
Currently, the company has about 1250 employees.
