Under the restructuring programme, the company is to close down the site and cut all positions. XEOS has started negotiations with employees’ representatives. The programme is related to the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected the aviation industry; the company reported a drop in demand for its services.
The factory has been operating since 2019; it specialises in servicing and maintenance of GE’s engines. For previous restructuring event see XEOS2019-PL (300 jobs created).
