Kaufland, a German chain of retail stores, announced that it will hire 100 people in its new store in Timisoara (Timis County) by the end of May 2021. In 2020, the company advertised 1,000 new jobs.
The large German retailer has 1,300 stores in eight countries across Europe. As of December 2020, Kaufland employed an estimated 13,108 workers across 142 stores in Romania, which makes Kaufland the country's largest employer in the retail sector.
