Primark, an Irish discount fashion retailer with headquarters in Dublin, is to open its first store in the Czech Republic (Prague's Wenceslas Square) in mid-June 2021. This will create 260 jobs and the recruitment for salesforce has already begun. As of June 2021, it is still not clear when the recruitment will be finished.Â
Primark has announced a full-time salary of CZK 28,000 (€ 1,100) a month.
The first store's total sales area is expected to exceed more than 4,600 square meters and occupy three floors. Another store is to be established in the Olympia shopping centre in Brno, and is expected to be operational in 2022.Â
Globally, Primark operates over 370 stores in 13 countries and employs about 78,000 people worldwide.Â
