France-based insurance start-up Alan has announced that it will create 400 new jobs in Europe by the end of 2023, including France, Spain and Belgium. The company has closed its Series D funding round, raising €185 million. The operation will accelerate the company’s expansion.

In addition to self-employed and SMEs, the company is planning to target also larger companies and new sectors. Currently, Alan has about 9,400 companies in its portfolio and generates €100 million of revenue. Its ambition is to insure one million people by 2023, against 155,000 people today.
