Description

The Anglo-Dutch multinational oil and gas company Royal Dutch Shell, commonly known as Shell, has announced that it will create 400 new positions at its Shell Business Operations (SBO) centre in the Kraków Special Economic Zone. Under the new investments in the SBO, two new teams will be formed. 250 positions are expected to be created in the business services team which will specialise in IT, data quality, reporting and analysis, communication and tax operations. Another 150 jobs will be created in the customer service, supplies, logistics, HR and IT operations.

The centre has been operating in Kraków since 2006. Currently, the centre employs about over 4,400 people responsible for conducting and supporting Shell’s global business operations in the areas of IT, finance, accounting, purchasing, customer service, human resources and others. The source reports that Shell invested over $400 million (€328.04 million) in 2012-2019 in the development of its Polish petrol station chain and the Kraków SBO centre.
