Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US-based software company Infor has announced that it will create 110 additional jobs at its Centre of Excellence in Wrocław by the end of 2021. A team responsible for the development of software for staff working in hospitals engaged in the fight against COVID-19 will increase by 35 employees. Another 40 jobs will be created for the development of the company’s two key enterprise resource planning systems. Additionally, Infor is to recruit specialists in programming, business analytics, artificial intelligence and big data.
Infor develops and provides new cloud solutions. Globally, Infor employs 17,000 people in 175 countries. In Poland, the company has been operating since 2016; currently, the centre in Wrocław employs 340 people and provides services in 14 languages. A previous event of job creation was announced in 2019 (Infor Polska 2019 PL).
