Description

Danish capital furniture manufacturer Jakobsen Home is to create around 70-75 new jobs in in its site of Alytus in the near future. The company is expanding its factory in Alytus due to the growing demand of its products.

According to the management, as more people are working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, they want to create a cozy and work-friendly environment. Such a situation has opened new possibilities for the company.

The Alytus factory currently employs 293 employees. Jakobsen Home Co has also planned to open a new sewing division in Marijampole. Initially the new division will employ 30-35 people and it may grow even more in the future.

Jakobsen Home is a manufacturer of upholstered furniture, established in Lithuania in 1999. The company sells its products to large furniture supermarkets in the Central Europe, the Benelux countries and Scandinavia; it has recently entered the US market.
