European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Irish fashion retailer Primark plans to open eight new stores in Italy and to hire more than 2,000 people by the end of 2022. The first new opening is planned in Rome by the summer 2021, while the other new stores will be located in Catania, Chieti, Turin, Bologna, Caserta, Venice and Milan.
Through these new openings, the company will double its total commercial area in the country and significantly expand the total number of its employees up to 3,600 people.

A number of stores have already opened:
On 1 June 2021 in Rome (250 jobs).
On 1 December 2021 in Catania (over 150 jobs).
On 6 April 2022 in Milan (250 jobs both in the store and in the offices).
On 8 November 2022 in Turin (150 jobs).
On 9 August 2022 in Bologna (150 jobs).
In october 2022 in Caserta (150-400 jobs).
On 19 July 2022 in Chieti (150 jobs).
A new store will be opened before the end of 2022 in Venice.
New position hired were mainly Sales Representatives, Visual Merchandising Representatives, Cash Office Representatives and part-time Warehouse Representatives and 140 managers across all Italy. Jobs will be both fixed-term and part-time more specifically, 18-hour part-time contracts will be proposed, with availability requested at the weekend, and 20-hour part-time contracts, with a request for availability on shifts 7 days a week.
