Description

Volkswagen Slovakia starts with the recruitment of new staff for its car manufacturing plant in Bratislava. Though the plant has not started yet with the planned mass recruitment of 2,000 staff, it announced 100 vacant jobs and is going to recruit employees for the assembly of vehicles in the coming months. The planned increase in the number of employees in Volkswagen Slovakia is attributed to the decision of the management to start with the production of two favourite models VW Passat and Skoda Superb in Bratislava plant. Significant changes will also be implemented in the portfolio of produced cars. By 2030, the Volkswagen group plans to more than double the production of electric cars.

In February 2019, the company announced reduction of 3,000 jobs in its plant in Bratislava.

Updated, 27/4/21

Due to the increased worldwide orders, the company will shortly hire further 400 workers to the assembly lines.
