Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The transport and logistics group DHL Express France, based in Le Bourget (Seine-Saint-Denis), has announced the recruitment of 450 people in France in 2021. The group is pursuing its development, boosted by the COVID-19 crisis, and forecasts continued volume growth of around 7.5%. To handle the 45 million parcels expected over the year, DHL Express France will continue to invest in its network and to recruit. In 2020, in order to adapt to the COVID-19 context as well as to the consequences of Brexit, the company recruited nearly 430 employees, well beyond the 300 initially planned.
The transport and logistics group DHL Express France has announced the recruitment of 450 employees in 2019. Previous job reductions occured in 2013 (108 job cuts), in 2009 (285 job cuts) and in 2004 (1,200 job cuts).
