Polish bookmaker Totolotek has announced that it will close all of its 116 betting shops located across Poland and limit its operations to the internet channel only. As a result, 150 jobs will be cut throughout a collective dismissal programme. The closure of the shops is to take place on 31 March 2021. The restrcuruting programme is related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its negative impact on the company’s operations.
Totolotek has been operating in Poland since 1992. The bookmaker belongs to the international group Gauselmann operating in over 53 countries worldwide.
