Description

Lidl, the German discount supermarket chain, has announced plans to create 170 jobs across its 40 stores and a distribution centre in Northern Ireland in 202, taking the number of its employees in Northern Ireland to over 1,200. The jobs include operational and office-based roles.

Lidl opened its first shops in the UK in 1994 and currently has 800 shops. The chain has continued to grow during the COVID-19 crisis and aims to have 1,000 shops by the end of 2023.
