Description
Polish e-commerce platform Allegro announced that it will create 1,200 jobs at its new distribution centre near Grodzisk Mazowiecki by the end of 2022. The unit is expected to be launched within the next few months.
Currently, the new centre is being built on 36,500 square meters of warehouse space in A2 Warsaw Park, a new logistics park. The warehouse will allow Allegro to develop its logistics platform and speed up the process of fulfilling orders through automation. The centre will take over the most time-consuming and costly activities from retailers, including storing, packing, fulfilling orders and dispatching goods and servicing returns.
Allegro was founded in 1999. Currently, the company employs over 2,500 people across five locations: Poznań, Kraków, Toruń, Warsaw and Wrocław. Previous business expansions were announced in November 2020 (200 jobs created) and January 2021 (950 jobs created).
