Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German HR technology company Personio, is to create 140 jobs in Dublin by the end of 2021. The company designs all-in-one HR systems for small and medium-sized firms and intends to make its Dublin office its new international business and software engineering hub. It currently employs 40 staff in Ireland. The company has existing locations in Munich, London and Madrid and employs 550 people.
Personio’s chief revenue officer Geraldine MacCarthy, who leads the Irish operation, said the new roles would be across a number of functions, including sales, customer support and engineering. Ms MacCarthy said Personio had recorded significant growth last year in part due to the Covid crisis as it assists companies to digitise their HR processes.
