Description
VanHaren, a Dutch chain of shoe retailers (and part of the German Deichmann group) has announced it will open 38 stores across the country. In total, this will provide jobs to approximately 250 employees. The chain is currently not active within the country but plans to open a significant number of stores, most of them in the former premises of the closed down Brantano stores. This is positive news for a number of ex-Brantano employees, who had recently lost their jobs after the bankruptcy of the the FNG group. VanHaren clearly stated its intention to recruit a number of the ex-Brantano employees.
