Bombardier, an international transportation producer, has announced it will be hiring 180 employees for its facility in Bruges. The facility is specialised in the production of trains and other railway equipment. The hiring effort follows on from a large order by the national Belgian railway organisation NMBS-SNCB. One hundred employees of the hired personnel will receive indefinite contracts, the remaining 80 2-year fixed-term contracts. In total, the Bombardier group invested € 6 million in the facility. The company currently employs about 500 people.
