Description
Mega World (former Blokker), a retail chain with 199 stores in Belgium has announced bankruptcy. In total 650 employees will lose their job. The chain of retail stores, formerly known under the Blokker brand was acquired one year ago by Mega World. The acquisition was controversial and trade union delegations state that mismanagement is one of the main reasons why the chain is forced to close down. Latest news indicates that international buyers are interested in potentially acquiring the closed down stores.
