Description

The French fashion retailer Camaieu dismissed its remaining 139 employees employed in the company's 44 Italian stores.

The brand stopped operating its shops already in July 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19, and later declared bankruptcy at the Court of Milan.

The decision was undersigned by an agreement with the trade unions, so that the ban against dismissals could be overcome. Since they were not receiving their wages, workers were in fact asking for their dismissal in order to be able to accede to the unemployment benefit Naspi.
