Home Bargains, the British discount retail chain, has announced that it will open new stores in Oxford and Peterborough, creating, respectively, 120 and 100 jobs between December 2020 and January 2021. The new jobs include sales assistant, store supervisor and cleaner roles.
Home Bargains sells fresh and frozen food, snacks and drinks, as well as health, beauty and homeware products. It is owned by TJ Morris, which was established over 40 years ago in Liverpool. The company currently runs 500 stores and employs over 22,000 workers across the UK and plans to double the number of its stores.
